READERS ASK:
Are there going to be more Wallflower novels?
Sort of. Two of the Wallflowers, and their husbands, make appearances in "Mine Till Midnight", which is the first of what I'm calling a spinoff series. The name of this new series will likely be "The Hathaways" . . . about a family of misfits who experience love, passion, and all kinds of adventures. And the hero of "Mine Till Midnight" is Cam Rohan, who was a minor character in "Devil In Winter." So from time to time in the Hathaway series, I'll include little updates about the Wallflowers.
Now
that you're going to write contemporaries, will there ever be
another historical?
Oh, yes! I've written historicals
for so long, and I love them so much, that I can't imagine never
writing another one. But after being exclusively in the historical
genre for twenty years, it's time for a new challenge. What I
hope to do is publish both historicals and contemporaries in the
future.
How do you write
sexy love scenes and what does your husband think about them?
To write a sensuous love scene, you have to make
yourself forget about the people who might eventually read it.
In the past few years I have become much better at doing what
I feel is right for the book, instead of worrying about what
people will think of certain scenes. In a way, I have to trust
the reader as much as she trusts me. . .
